Factors Considered Before Fiber Optic Installation

By Betty Kelly

For quality results, it is important that certain factors be taken into consideration. The process of Fiber Optic Installation will determine the quality of output that will be achieved. Below are some of the things that must be done in order to obtain satisfactory outcome.

In the market today, there exists several types of grass that are sold for this use. During purchase, it is important to seek professional guidance since these kinds are adopted to different conditions. The amount of sunlight required by each type varies. This is a very important factor as it will affect the quality of the lawn achieved. Ones that need a lot of sunlight must get placed in clear areas that have no obstruction at all. Any shades must get cleared before fitting.

The number of sod strips should be sufficient. This is an important consideration as it will determine the amount spent and the density of the field. This number can be approximated from the total size or area of the land to be covered. Buying them in less numbers will not make the land look beautiful rather it will have a funny appearance since the grass will be scattered due to scarcity.

Check the soil type and conditions to ensure that it is in good conditions. This is a very critical step that is often neglected. The right type of soil will lessen the cost and frequency of maintenance over the years to come. Sandy loam soils are known to produce best results. Be sure to check the soil acidity level. The most suitable soil is supposed to be basic or neutral.

Always ensure that the surface is free of any weed or any other grasses. The site should also be clear of all building materials including bricks or buried rocks. Sodding has to be done on a clear surface so that nothing interferes with the growth and development process. Presence of weeds or wood in the soil will prevent the roots from firmly attaching and will also affect the amount of nutrients amounts absorbed by the laid grass.

Drainage problems should be prevented as much as possible. This is because once they occur correcting them will be costly and too demanding. The land might be slightly sloping to enable water flow freely in one direction. At the sidewalks, shallow trenches or ditches may be provided so as to channel the excess water away from the lawn. Too much water affects the plants and is also unsightly.

If the area had an existing lawn, it should be removed totally. Never lay a new turf on an existing one. The existing one is supposed to be chemically killed and done away with. This process might be done in two stages. The first time will involve application of chemicals and after it has become brown and dead, the second stage which is its removal is done.

Always be sure to follow such guidelines when it comes to landscaping and enhancing the appearance of lawns. Ignoring some of the steps might cause great losses and regrets. Where necessary ask for assistance from skilled people.
