Use of ozone sanitizing in water treatment has been adopted by most of the water distributing companies as a measure of providing clean water. However, this water cleaning formula has its advantages and disadvantages as highlighted in this article.

Fresh water should not have any form of taste in it. Ozone gas used in purifying water does not leave any taste in water. This is contrary to water treated with chlorine. If a high dose is used, it leaves tastes that are unpleasant in it. Therefore, state agencies should adopt this natural tasting water sanitizer.

When you view water storage tanks in your homes, you will find that there are some residual deposits in its bottom. This is caused by chlorinated water which after settling down, the excess chlorine deposits sit at the bottom. However, water that has been treated with the amazing ozone gas has no such byproducts. This gas diffuses into oxygen which is necessary for our health.

These sanitizing agents have no negative effect on the environment. When emitted, it turns into oxygen within minutes, and this ensures that no plants and animals are affected by it. The gas is also licensed for use in most regions, making it more suitable for water treatment.

The main purpose of water treatment is to kill all possible germs in water. Use of untreated water causes diarrhea, flue, typhoid and other diseases that are an economic disadvantage to most families. Therefore, water treatment companies should embrace the advantage of using ozone sanitization method to ensure it distributes clean water.

Low dose amounts of these water treatment method cannot eradicate some germs in the water especially germs that usually form cysts. This demands input of high doses during the process and can be difficult and expensive for most of its users. Moreover, this gas breaks down rapidly, and it decays faster in high temperatures. It is considerably expensive to use it in treating wastewater that has high levels of organic compounds and suspended solids.

The gas has a high reaction rate when used in the cleaning process, and this makes it one of the great sanitizers. The same strength has its accompanying disadvantages when used on wastewater container linings that are made with metals. It is recommended that you use stainless steel containers which are resistant to corrosion. This makes the plant construction to become expensive since you have to look for suitable containers.

People using the gas for their treatment plants are at a great risk of having lung infections. The ozone gas should be administered when wearing protective gadgets to avoid inhaling it. These items are not required when working with chlorine during the purifying process and this makes the use of this sanitizing gas to be expensive.
