Important RV Storage Tips Cleveland Ohio

By Eric McDonald

Road trips can be a great way of spending time and adventure. RVs are the best option for such trips. Before embarking on the adventure, you must carry all the gears you need to make the trip a success. It is, however, challenging to store all the necessities you require and keep the space limited and all accessories easily accessible. Knowledge of how to store these items is required. Below are some of the essential RV storage tips Cleveland Ohio.

The first way to ensure you utilize the available space is mounting magnetic strips on the walls of the kitchen. Making holes on the walls of the RV is not a great idea. Sharp items like knives are dangerous when driving because in case of an accident they can come flying off the wall thus causing a lot of harm. However, with a wall-mounted magnetic strip, all the knives and other metallic kitchen supplies can be held on the wall.

Having a kitchen in the RV can cause a lot of problems because it occupies most of your space. However, if it is possible, purchasing foldable utensils can help in a great way. Whenever you are done heating your water, you can fold the kettle easily and place it in a smaller space. The bowls, spoons, and plates will consume less space also if they are foldable. Try making most of your utensils foldable.

The other way to ensure proper storage in your RV is by washing and arranging the place every morning. After breakfast, when living in an RV, it is good to wash the utensils used in the morning and get rid of the trash in your trash can. Failure to do so leads to piling up of dirty utensils that affect the organization and hygiene of your living space. Therefore, no matter what, try cleaning the place after breakfast.

Similarly, whenever you buy something that you already have in the RV, it is good to get rid of the older items. Otherwise, you will continue accumulating clutter in your space. Applying a rule that states, when you buy a new item the old one should be thrown out, can work well because the new items occupy the space of the old ones.

Additionally, make a list of your stock. If you are staying in the RV alone, there is no need to have ten spoons, ten plates, and pots. They will just consume the space and you will not be using them. Writing all the things you have on a piece of paper can help a lot because it makes it easy to leave those you will not need at home.

The way you will deal with debris also counts. Keeping the dustbin on your floor will consume your living space. The right way to deal with the problem of trash is getting those cans that are easy to mount over or on the door so that they do not eat up space.

Lastly, to store things like fruits, using hangers is very crucial. When things like clothes are hanged on a wall or a fruit basket, the space they could have occupied when placed on a surface can be saved for other things.
