To begin with, specific iodized elements are used in making Nylon. Nylon is the actual component that prevents overheating and thus improve the durability of wheels.

Numerous medicines are also made with mineral elements. Mostly, drugs that are meant to treat brain and nervous system disorders should have some amount of iodate solution. These are coronary vein dilators, neuromuscular blocking agents and antispasmodics. In addition, pharmaceutical products such as antibiotics and corticosteroids depend on organic iodized molecules during synthesis.

To improve the intake of nitrogen in nitrogenous fertilizers, iodized solutions mixed with this fertilizer helps. Alternatively, individuals can directly add this solution to the soil. Even though it does not provide nutrients directly, iodates help in the production of biomass. Biomass is composed of organic materials that are rich in nutrients. Researchers usually biofortify crops by spraying them with soluble iodized concentration.

Farmers need iodized chemicals to kill plant pathogens. These are disease-causing micro-organisms that hinder maximum productivity. Post-harvest treatment prevents the fungal infestation in tomatoes and potatoes.
